Sons and Daughters of the Light: This document is the US Bishops’ 1996 pastoral plan for young adult ministry. It is filled with both theological insights and practical suggestions.

Connecting Young Adults to Catholic Parishes: This resource document, developed by the USCCB Committee for Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth (2010), is a compilation of strategies and best practices in carrying out the bishop’s vision for Young Adult Ministry, as outlined in Sons and Daughters.

Young Adult Ministry in a Box: This subscription service offers a wide range of resources for reaching young adults, establishing parish-based young adult programs, and making parishes more young adult friendly. Developed by a team of experts, it is a joint initiative of NCYAMA and Busted Halo.

The Changing Spirituality of Emerging Adults:  this extensive research project, now housed with The Catholic University of America, looked at trends of young adults in the United States, to provide religious leaders with information on how to better minister to those in their 20s and 30s.  It includes essays, research, commentaries, and case studies.

Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership: This ten-year project, a joint effort of several national Catholic organizations, offers research and recommendations on the best practices and principles for effective, evangelizing parishes in the 21st Century.  One of the primary focus areas was the pathway of young adults into Catholic leadership, outlined in its Next Generation initiatives.

National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association (NCYAMA): The Catholic Church’s national organization for young adult ministry in the United States, focused on training, networking, advocating, and resourcing those who minister in any way with men and women in their late teens, twenties, and thirties.

La RED (National Catholic Network de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana): an association of Catholic organizations and pastoral ministers committed to the evangelization, holistic development, and ongoing support and formation of Hispanic youth and young adults in the United States

Youth and Young Adult Ministry @ The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Within the USCCB Secretariat for Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, this is the focus area of the U.S. bishops that aid dioceses and Catholic leaders on the ministry and outreach to young adults, as well as to Catholic youth

USA Presence @ World Youth Day (WYDUSA):  The national initiative of the USCCB focused on promoting, preparing, resourcing, and networking pastoral leaders in the U.S. in their World Youth Day efforts, both locally and internationally.  (It should be noted that World Youth Day is open to young people ages 16 to 35 with a particular focus on young adults in their 20s and 30s).

Catholic Apostolate Center: A multi-dimensional resource center, developed by the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines) for developing formation and training programs for Church leadership in the New Evangelization and pastoral collaboration, with outreach efforts for young adult ministries

Busted Halo: A Catholic online magazine for young adults, sponsored by the Paulists

Catholic Match Institute: Interactive website for singles, young engaged and married couples, and Church leaders who minister with singles and young couples, featuring articles, resources, and tools for fostering healthy relationships and marriages

National Catholic Singles Conference: Annual gathering of Catholic singles (including both young adults and older adult singles), sponsored by the Theology of the Body International Alliance and the Catholic Match Institute

Catholics on Call: A program dedicated to helping Catholic young adults discern God’s call in their lives

Charis Ministries: A retreat program for 20s/30s based in Chicago with retreats held all over the country
